I cringe instinctively imagining wire service reporters covering MTV's Video Music Awards -- but Reuters apparently made a big mistake. They actually reported that Michael Jackson "was named the Artist Of The Millennium' Thursday."

Apparently Jack-o just heard Britney Spears saying she considered him "artist of the millenium," and he decided that that's what his award was for.
